Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner Wore Chrome Hearts To The ‘Marty Supreme’ LA Premiere

Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner made their latest joint red carpet appearance on Monday for the LA premiere of Marty Supreme, held at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. This isn’t their first time coordinating, and it certainly won’t be the last, but this is the first time the colour has been part of the film’s narrative rather than a coincidence or a mood.

If you’ve been following the marketing for Marty Supreme, you’ll know that orange isn’t random. It has been seeded throughout the campaign. Timothée shared an image of an orange blimp wearing a Marty Supreme track jacket; the promotional stills and teaser clips are filled with orange balls, paddles and props that echo the film’s ping-pong elements. From social posts, the colour has already carved out an identity for the project.

All of which is a long way to say: yes, they are absolutely leaning into a thematic couple moment. Think Posh and Becks in coordinated leather or Justin and Britney in double denim — except this time the brief is clear: in my Prince Akeem voice “when you think of orange, think of Marty Supreme.”

Now, about the clothes themselves. When I saw the custom Chrome Hearts outfits on Instagram this morning, I genuinely thought it was edit culture gone wild. I even checked that the account wasn’t Kim Russell who is notorious for swapping heads onto model bodies. But no — it was real, and it was deliberate.

The result? Cute and cringe in equal measure.

Timothée’s look — leather trousers puddling at the hem, Timberland boots. We’ve been here before.

Kylie, meanwhile, looks exactly how you expect Kylie Jenner to look when a red carpet is involved: glossy, and designed to hold attention. Her custom Chrome Hearts cut-out dress does what it intended to do.

The pair may not have broken new stylistic ground, but as a thematic couple, orange is the message, and we’ve received it.
