Ella Purnell Wore Giorgio Armani To The ‘Fallout’ London Screening
Ella Purnell returned home to London for the Season Two screening of Fallout at Picturehouse Central last night. Her Sydney look didn’t win you over, but Ella course-corrected beautifully with an archival gem.

Wearing an archival Giorgio Armani mauve mini dress from the Fall/Winter 1991 collection, Ella tapped straight into the house’s ongoing 50th-anniversary celebrations. With ARMANI / Archivio now spotlighting historical pieces from the brand’s timeline, we are always poised when these moments grace the red carpet.
What I love is that she didn’t try to modernise the dress; she leaned into the original runway styling with the soft chiffon scarf, which kept the look rooted in its era while still feeling right for her.
The silver paillette embroidery catches the light beautifully. The merlot Jimmy Choo Stevie pumps are a bold twist. Would a copper tone have felt more cohesive? Yes. But the dress is doing enough heavy lifting that the shoes end up as a footnote. And once you clock the TASAKI Waterfall earrings, you aren’t really thinking about footwear anyway.
This is the sweet spot for Ella: characterful, and confident.
Stylist: Holly White.
