Kristen Stewart Wore Thom Browne Promoting ‘The Chronology of Water’
Kristen Stewart was in Paris promoting her directorial debut, The Chronology of Water, and while there were no official images sent to photo agencies, her hairstylist saved the day by sharing these behind-the-scenes shots. And honestly? I’m grateful, because I’ve been waiting for the moment Kristen stepped into Thom Browne.

She didn’t dip a toe in — she went straight for the house’s signature school-uniform aesthetic: the crisp white short-sleeve shirt, the grey pleated skirt, the matching tie, the striped socks and those sharp lace-up heels. It’s the rebellious uniform look I always knew she could deliver, relying entirely on her attitude rather than theatrics, and she sold it effortlessly.

As I’ve said before, I’m still convinced the Chanel relationship has been quietly placed on pause, and seeing her explore designers like Rodarte and now Thom Browne makes me genuinely excited about where she’s heading next.

Before Chanel took over her red carpet life, the only other non-Chanel moment that stands out in my memory is that Oscar de la Renta gown she wore to The Twilight Saga: New Moon premiere in 2009. I remember it clearly because it felt so far removed from who she was — a gown chosen for a franchise, not for Kristen. I even remember saying she would look so much better in a suit… and her fans coming after me for saying so.

Looking at her now in Thom Browne, it feels like this has always been Kristen.
