Awards season is beginning to stretch its limbs, and Renate Reinsve is right at the centre of the conversation. With Sentimental Value already generating Best Actress Oscar buzz, the screenings and Q&A circuit for Academy voters are officially underway, so we can expect to see a lot of the Norwegian actress in the coming weeks.

I know some of you have been lukewarm toward FFORME, but this Catrin flared duchesse dress from the Resort 2026 collection feels different on Renate. The quiet presence is perfectly suited to her style sensibilities, with the interest lying in the calibration of proportion: a fitted bodice, a dropped waist, and a skirt that holds its volume. The styling is what locks it in — the Louis Vuitton black Petite Malle, minimal jewellery, and black fabric-covered boots that glide seamlessly into the hem.
Lantern Shape, Lifted Mood
Earlier in the day, Renate was back in Louis Vuitton wearing a Spring 2026 runway look. Nicolas Ghesquière has long loved a structured skirt, and this version — pale pink with rounded volume held in sculpted folds — fits that form. It immediately reminded me of Ariana Grande’s LV look at the 2025 Palm Springs International Film Awards, but here it feels more daytime-chic, less red carpet mode.
The matching top keeps the proportion playful, balancing shape with wearability, and the LV Cube choker amplifies the modernity. The black satin pumps and black Petite Malle simply do their job as supportive players.
