Sydney Sweeney was honoured with the Spotlight Award at the 2025 SCAD Savannah Film Festival for her performance in Christy.

If you’re anything like me, you’re breathing a sigh of relief that her recent streak of overly cutesy, retro pin-up dresses has finally been retired — at least for now. The idea had potential but too often drifted into costume territory.

Her Stella McCartney Spring 2026 white mini dress, however, marks a much-needed shift. The asymmetrical one-shoulder silhouette and corseted structure still nod to her love of shape and form, but this time it feels sleek, contemporary, unfussy and I like how the matching white pumps echo the dress’s sharp minimalism.

And can we finally talk about her new haircut? The shorter, softly tousled style adds a lightness that matches this new direction — one that embraces her femininity and sexuality without feeling forced.
