Jennifer Lopez’s Upper East Side Sophistication in Dior on ‘The Last Mrs. Parrish’ Set

Now that the Kiss of the Spider Woman press tour has wrapped, the hardest-working woman in Hollywood has wasted no time jumping straight into her next project, The Last Mrs. Parrish, set in the late 2010s.

Jennifer Lopez, who plays Daphne Parrish — a wealthy socialite married to Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s Jackson Parrish — was spotted on set in New York City looking every inch the picture of affluence.

We all know J.Lo for her high-glamour signatures: the plunging gowns, body-hugging silhouettes, and that unmistakable glow that has practically become a red carpet genre of its own. But every so often, she reminds us that she can pivot from bling to high elegance with the same level of conviction.

Case in point: this crimson Dior look. The collarless fitted jacket and matching skirt, cinched with a black leather belt, felt like a masterclass in quiet power dressing — still sensual, but reined in. The gloves, wide-brimmed hat, and vintage brooch sealed the deal, channelling that polished, old-money aesthetic perfectly suited to her character’s world.

Houndstooth Manolo Blahnik Camparinew Mary Janes, Carolina Herrera HER 0318/S sunglasses and an Amiri croc-embossed bag completed the transformation. It’s J.Lo, but not as we usually see her — the same confidence, the same command, just expressed through Dior tailoring instead of sequins and cut-outs. And honestly? She wears it just as well.

I wonder if the costume designer was inspired by First Lady Lavinia Valbonesi’s Dior look when President Macron hosted Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa back in May.
