Blake Lively Wore Sergio Hudson Out In New York City

Blake Lively was spotted out in New York City on Wednesday wearing the season’s second-most popular colour: burgundy.

First, it was Mindy Kaling who reminded us how rich and regal this hue can look when worn head-to-toe — and now Blake is giving her own glossy interpretation.

Her look comes courtesy of one of her favourite designers, Sergio Hudson. Blake has been a loyal fan ever since that unforgettable purple suit she wore to The Music Man opening night in 2022, and this dress continues her devotion to the label.

However, I’m not entirely sure this outing will get the same universal love. The silhouette is both polished and confident, but the corset is likely to split opinions. It was part of Sergio Hudson’s original runway design, yet on Blake, it feels slightly overemphasised. While I appreciate her commitment to staying true to the designer’s vision, I can’t help but feel the dress would have fared better without it.

Still, Blake’s colour coordination remains impeccable. A matching Chanel bag, her go-to Christian Louboutin Spiked pumps, and a ring-stacked hand give the look her signature high-glam twist, though the peach earrings do slightly clash with the monochrome palette.
