Emmys 2025 Menswear: White Suits & Jackets Take the Spotlight
White on the red carpet is tricky—bold, risky, and almost impossible to do without looking like you’re heading to a summer wedding in Miami. And yet, at the Emmys, a handful of men took the gamble and stepped out in white suits, white jackets, and one very memorable ivory tank. And honestly? I couldn’t have been happier to see it.

Ivory Done Right
White suits are already a balancing act, but Pedro Pascal made it look effortless in his Celine ivory suit with that clean column jacket. The real win? The shoes. Too many men default to black when styling white tailoring, and it kills the vibe. Pedro chose Celine’s ballet lace-up shoes, which are clever because they blur the line between sneaker and dress shoe. They soften the look while still feeling polished, and it’s exactly the kind of unexpected twist I want to see with white tailoring. Finished with Celine sunglasses, the whole outfit had a cool, confident ease.

Winning on All Fronts
Not only did Tramell Tillman win ‘Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series,’ he also won my unofficial award for most dashing man in white. His custom Dolce & Gabbana double-breasted tuxedo carried that air of old-school Hollywood glamour. The tonal bow tie was the perfect finishing touch—it kept the entire look harmonious and let the sharp tailoring shine without breaking the flow. His black Dolce & Gabbana shoes were so sleek that I can’t even begrudge their inclusion. I love how he brought that Met Gala-level dandy charm to this event. A Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Perpetual Calendar timepiece and a Boucheron Serpent Bohème XXL necklace, which he wore as a brooch completed this dashing look.

The Classic Balancer
But James Marsden made a case for the black bow tie with the white Ralph Lauren jacket, because paired with black trousers it struck its own kind of balance. It was classic, polished, and a reminder that there’s more than one way to wear white well. An IWC Schaffhausen timepiece and David Yurman’s High Jewelry Liberty brooch completed his look.

Perfectly Him
While I do wish Walton Goggins’ custom Louis Vuitton jacket had been pure white rather than ivory with white lapels, the off-beat combo still felt true to his style aesthetic. Paired with a silk dress shirt and black trousers, it struck just the right note of polish without erasing his signature scruffy, rocker allure. The accessories included a Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921 timepiece and David Yurman jewels, including an 18k yellow gold Ouroboros Amulet with malachite and emerald—added that touch of edge and eccentricity. Very Goggins.

Tank Top Energy
He may not have gone the full white suit route, but Bowen Yang earns an honorary spot here. His ivory silk crepe tank by AMI Paris paired with black cigarette trousers was such a clever twist on the theme. It felt playful, fashion-forward, and uniquely him. Sometimes, you don’t need a jacket to make a statement.
