Colman Domingo was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for The Four Seasons at the 2025 Emmy Awards.

I’ll admit it — I wasn’t convinced at first about Colman aligning so closely with Valentino. He’s an actor who brings so much range to every red carpet, and I was worried he would be stifled under one fashion house. But Alessandro Michele clearly knows his muse, because each outing feels more inventive than the last.

Take this one: a pale blue checked jacket with fringed crystal embellishments, a polka-dot mandarin-collar shirt, and brown trousers. On paper, I’d never have picked it as a red carpet winner. In reality? It works in the most glorious, unexpected way.

Yes, the shoes could have been stronger — I won’t deny that. But when the rest of the look is so stylish and powerful, the shoes become almost irrelevant.

Colman has leaned heavily on Valentino’s belted jacket recently, but this time he revisited the fringed scarf, a piece he’s worn with impact before — at the Valentino Spring 2025 Haute Couture show and the Palm Springs International Film Awards.

An OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch and Boucheron jewels rounded out yet another fearless Colman moment.
