Cate Blanchett Wore Armani Privé To The 2025 Emmy Awards
Fresh from her Armani Beauty ambassador duties in Venice, Cate Blanchett carried that straight onto the Emmys red carpet, where she was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Disclaimer.
Like Gwendoline Christie, she decided against a gown, choosing instead an Armani Privé Fall 2025 velvet jumpsuit. It’s not her first time in this piece—she wore it just last week for an Armani Beauty event, though the fashion house never shared the images with me. For many, this was the first proper sighting, so I’m glad she gave it another spin.
I love the duality here. The silhouette leans masculine with its structure and contrasting white cuffs, but the open back and silver mesh neckline keep it sensual and feminine. That balance is very Cate.
The trousers were undeniably too long, proof that even she isn’t immune to tailoring issues. Still, the choice worked. Beyond being stylish, it felt like a gesture to Mr. Giorgio Armani, a friend and collaborator.
