Thuso Mbedu Wore Roberto Cavalli To The ‘Task’ New York Premiere

Thuso Mbedu returned to the red carpet for HBO’s Task premiere at the Perelman Performing Arts Center in New York City.

The actress commanded attention in a striking two-piece look from Roberto Cavalli’s Fall 2025 collection, designed by Fausto Puglisi.

The ensemble carried a strong Asian sensibility — from the deep crimson, fiery devoré velvet transitioning into silver and gold, and high neckline to the pleated lilac satin waistband. With its elegance and drama, the look felt as though Thuso had stepped straight out of a classic film like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon — cinematic, graceful, and timeless.

The look was heightened by her beauty styling. Lilac-toned eyeshadow mirrored the satin waistband, while a bold red lip brought just the right amount of intensity and balance.
