While Elle Fanning was switching things up at the Sentimental Value premiere, Renate Reinsve carried her Cannes energy straight into Toronto. Not just in her loyalty to Louis Vuitton, but in how she’s wearing it.

While the hanging ring sleeves and sharp A-line silhouette lean into her signature edge, the silver jacquard bustier gown is beautifully softened by an overlaid blue-and-black floral motif.

If you think back to her earlier red carpet moments, this isn’t the style we used to associate with her. But she’s leaning into it with confidence, and it looks effortless.

The finishing touches — Louis Vuitton High Jewelry from the Ever Blossom collection, a Louis Vuitton crystal-embellished Slim Trunk bag, and platform sandals — played their part.

Obviously, her premiere dress was a lot to carry into the night, so the actress switched into Schiaparelli Fall 2025 look — and this is where the Renate we know, with her edgier side, came back out to play.

I know what you’re thinking: a long-sleeved brown ribbed cashmere sweater with a dual-material denim-and-leather high-waisted skirt, stacked with western-inspired black leather gold-buckle belts, doesn’t exactly scream cocktail party. But that’s Renate — she plays by her own rules.

It’s a tricky look to pull off, yet her attitude almost sells it. Personally, I would’ve been more on board had she swapped the brown sweater for a black crop top or bustier, but either way, it’s an intriguing look.
