Celebrities in Armani at the ‘Frankenstein’ Venice Film Festival Premiere
Armani and the Venice Film Festival go hand in hand, but this year the Italian powerhouse didn’t just show up—it took over. At the Frankenstein premiere, no fewer than thirteen celebrities stepped out in Armani Privé or Giorgio Armani, making the red carpet look more like an Armani runway. Some moments soared, others fell flat, but one thing is certain: Armani owned Saturday night.

The Liquid Vision
You might be looking at Gemma Chan’s Armani Privé Spring 2025 liquid metallic one-shoulder gown with a feeling of déjà vu, and that’s because it shares the same colour and embellishments as Rachel Brosnahan’s ‘Superman’ London dress. Much like Rachel, this maroon hue perfectly complements Gemma’s complexion. Cartier jewels complete her look

Venice or the Grammys?
This might surprise you, but I’m struggling to get on board with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s Armani Privé dress. Does she look good? Absolutely. But my first thought was that the dress feels more like something JLo would wear to the Grammys. She carried it with her usual poise, styling the look with Tiffany & Co. jewels.

The Classic Gent
While Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s shaggy beard and hair scream “Werwulf prep,” his Armani tux was pure, old-school elegance. Crisp tailoring, an OMEGA watch, and confidence to spare, this is kind of look you want from a leading man on a big Venice night.

The Missed Mark
A bandeau, hot pants, and sheer floral overlay? Hard to believe this was Armani. Emilia Jones‘ look felt out of place, poorly executed, and—frankly—forgettable. Emilia deserved more than an outfit that looked like a half-finished experiment.

Maximum Glamour
If anyone consistently understands the Venice stage, it is Eugenia Silva. Between the feather stole, jeweled headpiece, and her sparkling Armani Privé gown, she leaned into full red carpet fantasy.

Silver Siren
Greta Ferro swapped her usual darker palette for a shimmering silver Armani Privé gown with a reverse choker. It was sleek, modern, and stood out beautifully under the lights.

Suiting Triumph
Jessica Williams showed up in a midnight blue Armani suit and blew half the other looks out of the water. The oversized tailoring, the confidence, the way she carried herself—this was proof that suiting can be just as striking as sequins.

Classic Done Right
Kaitlyn Dever kept it simple in a plunging black Armani gown elevated by emerald-and-diamond jewels. Add a bold red lip, and suddenly minimalism never looked so commanding.

Stand Back, She’s On a Roll
Leslie Bibb has been unstoppable this year, and her strapless mesh-embellished Armani Privé Spring 2025 gown kept the momentum going. Sheer without crossing into “naked dress” territory, it was alluring yet refined.

A Rare Miss
Usually one of my favourite Armani muses, Madisin Rian’s embellished gown didn’t land. That extra layer poking from the slit distracted rather than added. Not her best festival outing.

Pearl Perfection
Molly Gordon shimmered in a pearl-white sequined column Armani gown that felt modern and statuesque.

Missing Moon
Nathalie Emmanuel wore an archival Armani Privé Fall 2005 black dress that worked better without the silver moon embellishment with her jewellery more than compensating for its absence. Chopard jewels completed her look.

A Softer Return
After a string of darker looks, Sofia Carson surprised with a soft champagne Armani Privé Spring 2025 gown which was romantic, ethereal, and closer to the style that made her a red carpet darling. Chopard jewels completed her look.
Usually Armani has a clean run at this festival, but they may have taken a risk by dressing so many stars for one premiere. Some gowns worked flawlessly, others fell short, yet Venice is still Armani’s stage.
