Alba Rohrwacher Wore Dior Haute Couture To The ‘Jay Kelly’ Venice Film Festival Premiere
Alba Rohrwacher gave us a double dose of Dior on Thursday at the Venice Film Festival, switching into her second look of the day for the Jay Kelly premiere.

The Italian actress-director stepped out in a navy satin Dior Haute Couture dress (the first by Jonathan Anderson) with a draped bodice and a structured bustle that instantly amplified the silhouette. Could this playful nod to historical couture shapes be a clue to the upcoming collection? I was intrigued until she turned around. From the back, the exaggerated proportions were less “couture revival” and more… BBL optical illusion.

Jonathan Anderson has a long-standing love affair with offbeat details—whether at Loewe, his own label, or more recently Dior Men’s Spring 2026. So I wasn’t surprised to see him sneak a twist into a red carpet gown. But I’ll be honest, my jaw dropped when Alba pivoted, and not in a “fashion magic” way.
I adored the inky colour against her complexion, but the satin fabric didn’t hold its ground, and that wasn’t down to Venice’s rainy weather.
For me, this Dior outing didn’t quite deliver. Jonathan’s bold risks usually pay off, but this one fell flat.
