Cynthia Erivo Casts a Stylish Spell on New York With Three New Looks
I know many of you were experiencing Wicked fatigue by the time awards season came around. We’d already had a year of teasers, trailers, and press appearances everywhere from the Super Bowl to the Paris Olympics. But to be fair, the film delivered. And with Wicked: For Good set to release in November, Cynthia Erivo is already back on the promo grind—kicking things off in New York with looks as bold and confident as her vocals.
You’d think after a year of green, we’d seen it all. And yet…

Elphaba in tweed
There was no escaping green, because what’s an Elphaba press tour without a splash (or a full-on flood) of green? Come on now. Cynthia kicked things off in a tweed Diesel Fall 2025 long sleeve dress with matching boots. Yes, it’s a heavy fabric for spring, but the drop-waist silhouette and brown Diesel belt gave it a bit of laid back attitude.

Chaos, but considered
Next up was a look instantly recognisable as Maison Margiela. That ruched hybrid shirt? That sculptural disarray? Classic Galliano. It’s a masterclass in looking undone in the most impossibly chic way. Cynthia styled it with a Maison Margiela black and brown Snatched clutch and custom Christian Louboutin x Maison Margiela Loubiella platforms. My bambi ankles wouldn’t even attempt them, but Cynthia strutted like it was just another Thursday.

Another day, another pair of skyscrapers
Clearly unbothered by the height, she doubled down on the same Loubis—this time in black patent—with a second Maison Margiela look. A light green pile-knit cardigan, grey sleeveless wool jacket with exaggerated pockets, and another one of those anonymity-of-the-lining skirts, this time in black. It’s giving off-duty theatrical chic—perfect for pacing between TV studios.
Stylist: Jason Bolden.
