Da’Vine Joy Randolph Wore Cong Tri To The 2025 Cannes Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Da’Vine Joy Randolph has had an incredible run on the red carpet ever since her awards season breakout in 2024. Bold, expressive, and usually right on the money when it comes to fashion. Which is why this closing ceremony look at Cannes Film Festival left me completely baffled.

Wearing a custom white Cong Tri gown, Da’Vine was on stage to present Óliver Laxe with the Jury Prize (TIE) for Sirat, but sadly the fashion side of this moment didn’t deliver. Not even close.

The gown was dated in design, unflattering, and offered no support—literally. And then came the visible black bra, which was the final nail in the coffin.

Da’Vine has set the bar high for herself, which makes this all the more disappointing. Hopefully just a rare blip in an otherwise standout fashion journey.
