Rihanna & A$AP Rocky Wore Alaïa & Saint Laurent To The ‘Highest 2 Lowest’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

After a week of uninterrupted sunshine, the skies finally opened—right as Rihanna stepped onto the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. A little dramatic? Absolutely. But if there’s anyone who can turn a sudden downpour into a memorable moment, it’s her.

Rihanna was on hand to support A$AP Rocky, who stars in Spike Lee’s latest neo-noir crime thriller Highest 2 Lowest, and she brought her signature presence in a custom Alaïa Fall 2025 chiffon dress designed by Pieter Mulier in a bold blue (baby blue?) hue. It had cut-outs that framed her growing bump, striking the perfect balance between ethereal and cheeky. It’s been a minute since we’ve seen her in anything this soft or colourful—lately she’s leaned more into slouchy, menswear-heavy street style. But this was a fun, floaty departure, right down to the matching sandals. Boucheron jewels completed her look.

A$AP Rocky, in contrast, kept things slick in an oversized Saint Laurent suit with a striped tie from the Fall 2025 collection—sharp, but with that cool nonchalance he does so well. The look was styled with his self-designed Ray-Ban Wayfarers, a Bvlgari High End Monete watch and a High Jewelry brooch and ring.

For the photocall earlier in the day, A$AP Rocky switched gears completely in a Miu Miu ivory suit styled with a black shirt and brown loafers. It had a relaxed Riviera vibe.

The rapper-actor has formed an interesting and unexpected partnership with Miu Miu, becoming a regular fixture in the brand’s front row.

Rain or shine, these two always deliver.
