Louis Vuitton Launches LV Sneakerina
Louis Vuitton gathered the cool crowd at San Vicente Bungalows in Santa Monica for an exclusive cocktail soirée celebrating the debut of the LV Sneakerina – the latest footwear hybrid you didn’t know you needed until now.

Designed to merge the ease of a sneaker with the polish of a ballet flat, the LV Sneakerina keeps things minimalist with a rounded silhouette, dainty laces, and some impressively intricate topstitching. In other words, it’s the perfect “fashion-but-make-it-functional” shoe. And who better to usher in this era of comfort-meets-couture than some of fashion’s favourite It girls?
Green means go… but should it?
Danielle, Este, and Alana Haim have been loyal Louis Vuitton muses for years now, so their attendance felt like a no-brainer. While the sisters each brought their unique style to the event, it was Este’s look that stood out most to me—she looked cool and confident in her LV ensemble. That said, the green and blue LV Sneakerina she paired it with left me slightly puzzled. A more neutral hue would’ve elevated the outfit, but perhaps this playful, colour-clashing vibe is exactly what LV intended with the Sneakerina. Mixing unexpected tones may be part of the bigger picture here.

Cream of the cocktail party crop
Phoebe Dynevor brought a breath of fresh air in an ivory Louis Vuitton Fall 2024 mini draped dress. She kept her look clean, crisp, and minimal—exactly the kind of canvas that lets a shoe like the LV Sneakerina appear effortless. And unlike the Haims, Phoebe kept things neutral. Very on-brand for her quietly luxurious style and a smart styling move.

Rebel girl, reworked
Sasha Calle isn’t someone I naturally associate with the ballet flat aesthetic, but the Sneakerina’s more structured silhouette made this an easier bridge. Still, she ditched the shoe in favour of attitude. Wearing a Louis Vuitton Fall 2014 archive patchwork leather jacket and flared jeans, Sasha brought that edge we’ve come to expect. The look was giving vintage rockstar and didn’t feel like it needed a Sneakerina.

Pajama-party vibes
Ryan Destiny also passed on the LV Sneakerina moment, and I get it. Her printed shirt and trouser set was already toeing the pyjama line, so maybe she feared that adding a round-toed flat would send it over the edge. That said, the black pumps she chose didn’t quite tie the look together either. A nude Sneakerina could’ve balanced things without skewing bedtime chic.
