If the past week has taught us anything, it’s that menswear is alive, well, and continuing to evolve. From Berlinale to awards season, leading men served up a mix of classic tailoring, daring silhouettes, and a few surprises.

The Narrow Road To The Deep North Berlin Film Festival Premiere

If you’re anything like me, you love the vibe of Jacob Elordi’s Bottega Veneta suit styled with the label’s Achille boots, but you’re struggling to get on board with the new hairstyle and sideburns. The sleek tailoring and minimalist aesthetic scream modern sophistication, but the hair is giving ‘rebellious 1970s rocker in the early stages.’ A bold move, but is it the right one?

The Thing with Feathers Berlin Film Festival Premiere

Benedict Cumberbatch joined his co-star Rose Byrne on the red carpet, but he didn’t follow her lead when it came to a look accented with feathers. The British actor is known and loved for his classic style, but this time he went with a grey Prada look styled with a polo shirt, which felt more relaxed than usual. I would even go as far as to say that this feels more like a photocall look rather than a premiere look, but that is not to dismiss how good he appears on the red carpet. From the outfit to the two-day stubble, it indicates that he is evolving his style in a way that is effortless and cool.

Irish Film and Television Academy

Cillian Murphy received his Best Actor in a Lead Role award for Small Things Like These in a typically understated look from Celine, featuring a Camden jacket. No fuss, no frills, just Murphy in his signature minimalist, slightly brooding aesthetic. It may not be the most exciting look of the week, but it’s quintessentially him.

African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) Awards

Colman Domingo has been making stylish waves across the globe, and after his red carpet moment at the BAFTAs, he was back stateside looking incredibly suave in this AMIRI Spring 2025 look. White striped trousers are usually a hard sell for me, but when anchored by this exquisite coat, everything comes together beautifully. As always, Colman charmed me into loving this effortlessly elegant look.

F1 75 Live

All 20 F1 drivers joined their Team Principals to unveil their liveries ahead of the highly anticipated 2025 season, with Lewis Hamilton, the newest Ferrari driver, dressed in, you guessed it, Ferrari. Considering he was there representing Ferrari, this look understandably reads “professional” – especially when you consider the inclusion of the red tie –  but they were considerate enough to tailor it to his preferred oversized fit. The look was styled with a Marie Lichtenberg ring.

MICKEY 17 Berlin Film Festival Premiere

Robert Pattinson joined his co-star Naomi Ackie on the red carpet wearing a Dior Men’s Collection Fall 2025 look, a far more relaxed affair compared to his sharp London premiere ensemble. While I would’ve preferred a more tailored approach, I can’t deny the effortless charm of this boyish flair. Seeing this only makes Timothée Chalamet’s misstep last week at the same festival feel even more glaring.

Mercato Paris Premiere

We don’t see Stéphane Bak on the red carpet often, but when we do, he never disappoints. The French actor let his style speak for itself, dressed in a Loewe Men’s Spring 2025 look featuring a part smooth leather, part ostrich leather coat in two shades of brown. What I love about this coat is that it embraces texture and contrast without feeling overdone—it’s luxe, modern, and undeniably chic.
