Chanel Haute Couture at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards
The house of Chanel brought its signature sophistication to the 2025 Golden Globes, dressing Tilda Swinton, Keira Knightley, Margaret Qualley, and Leonie Benesch in looks that ranged from classic to whimsical.
A Return to Chanel Magic
It’s been a while since Tilda Swinton truly wowed me in Chanel, but tonight she did just that. Nominated in the Best Performance By A Female Actor In A Motion Picture – Drama category for The Room Next Door, Tilda exudes sophistication in a custom Chanel jacket intricately embroidered with white striated and glossy porcelain sequins, golden crystal braids, paired with a black silk velvet skirt. Inspired by a Chanel Spring 1986 Haute Couture look, this outfit had timeless appeal.
I adore the Narnia Queen frosty pink lip, while Chanel High Jewelry—featuring a Soleil 19 août yellow diamond ring—added a touch of opulence.
Understated but Elevated
Nominated for Black Doves, Keira Knightley opted for a black custom Chanel gown enriched with crystals, rhinestones, sequins, and a feather peplum, inspired by the Fall 2024 Haute Couture collection.
Despite the embellishments, the look felt understated, some might say too much so for her return to awards season, but I’m here for this quiet reintroduction. Chanel High Jewelry Lion Solaire earrings and rings completed her look, which was an improvement over the runway inspiration.
Perpetual Ballerina Allegations Confirmed
Margaret Qualley floated down the red carpet in a Chanel embroidered white silk dress with tulle ruffles and a sequined, crystalised black bow belt. Nominated for The Substance, this is arguably her best Chanel moment to date, a PB for sure.
Chanel High Jewelry Plume Singulière head jewels and Tweed earrings added whimsical touches to her ballerina-esque outing.
Timeless in Chanel
As the lead actress in the nominated film, September 5th, Leonie Benesch donned a Chanel Spring 2022 Haute Couture gown featuring silk tulle, organza, satin, and lace motifs.
Paired with Chanel shoes and High Jewelry, this look leaned on Chanel’s timeless simplicity, making it a fitting choice for her understated elegance.
