Robbie Williams Wore Emporio Armani To The ‘Better Man’ London Premiere
Robbie Williams attended the London premiere of ‘Better Man,’ a film exploring the life of a flamboyant showman featuring a CGI monkey as its lead. Yes, you read that right—a CGI monkey. The singer, who lends his own voice to the character, brought his unique flair to the red carpet in an Emporio Armani Fall 2024 suit that felt both bold and oddly nostalgic.
Why nostalgic? Because if you’re feeling a sense of déjà vu, you’re not alone. This embroidered floral appliqué suit made its debut back in June on Luke Newton at the ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 London premiere. While Luke’s version included the zippered third layer seen on the runway, Robbie opted for a simpler approach—and it worked for him.
What stands out here is how Robbie made the look feel entirely his own. And while Luke’s choice felt of the moment at the time, Robbie’s styling choices added a grounded edge as he wisely skipped the shirtless moment that the runway might have encouraged. Let’s be honest—it was minus 5 degrees last night in London, and this was not the weather for high-fashion bravery in the form of bare chests.
I love how Robbie kept the runway Emporio Armani leather boots adorned with crystal details, as they were an important reminder that Robbie knows how to balance refinement and the right amount of flair.
In a film about an ego-driven performer, Robbie’s choice to embrace a statement suit without veering into theatricality feels like an interesting meta-commentary. It’s bold, recognisable, and uniquely his. While it may not be entirely new, it feels unmistakably Robbie. And isn’t that the point?
