Isabelle Huppert Wore Brunello Cucinelli To The ‘Iddu’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

Isabelle Huppert attended the late-night premiere for ‘Iddu (Sicilian Letters)’ during Venice Film Festival premiere on Thursday, giving us something entirely unexpected.
Departing from her usual go-tos of Balenciaga and Armani Privé, the French actress opted for a custom Brunello Cucinelli organza dress that proved to be one of her most memorable looks of the festival.
At first glance, the sheerness might raise eyebrows, but hear me out: this wasn’t sheer for sheer’s sake. It struck a balance between sophistication and rebelliousness, a combination that perfectly encapsulates Isabelle’s style DNA. The dress was daring to a small degree, but it never crossed into overt. It was bold in its transparency but grounded in its elegance—qualities that mirror Isabelle’s own complex and captivating persona.
The black kappa smoking belt was a genius addition, adding structure and contrast to the otherwise airy look. Paired with gloves, slingback shoes, and a pair of Mr. Brunello sunglasses, infuse a French air of rebellion into this Italian designer’s sophisticated creation. It was a look that exuded confidence, and honestly, if I didn’t know better, I would’ve thought Mr Cucinelli had a French heritage, because this ensemble hit all the right notes of Parisian elegance with remarkable precision.
This look, alongside her earlier appearance in an animal print Balenciaga dress, marked the high points of her festival fashion. I’m hoping she can add one more for the closing ceremony tomorrow.
