Sofia Carson Wore Alexandre Vauthier Haute Couture To The 2023 MTV VMAs

Sofia Carson is the only person I would’ve confidently guessed who she was going to wear to the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.

As we all know, Giambattista Valli is Sofia’s usual first pick, so I was pleasantly surprised by this lapis blue Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2022 Haute Couture sequin-embroidered dress which was accented with a matching cape and boots.

At first, I was curious to see this look without the cape, but the bold energy we see on the runway appears to be the same energy Sofia wanted to bring to this red carpet.

A sequin dress perhaps wouldn’t have been a stretch for Sofia, so the exaggerated shoulder padded cape ensured a new red carpet look and feel for Sofia.

It’s refreshing to see someone change direction, without going down Sheer Dress Avenue.

My only critique is would be that her makeup appears a little too light for her complexion.
