Brie Larson Wore Chanel To The Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony Gala Dinner

Following the Cannes Film Festival red carpet, Brie Larson attended the opening ceremony gala dinner held at the Carlton Hotel.

This was a chance to redeem herself, and prove that the red carpet was just a blip.

But alas.  It wasn’t to be, as have yet another Chanel dress, this time a nondescript one, that is only recognisable via the accessories.

I’m trying to think back to a time where a celebrity “compromised” their style to be “jury member friendly.”

And from recent memory Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning, and Diane Kruger all gave us what we both expected and wanted, it has never been a thing to dial down or switch gears.

Just five days ago we were drooling over Brie in Versace, and Armani the week before.

This is sad to me. I’m high-key devastated.

I wanted a vintage run, not a underwhelming run.

Why is this happening?
