Yara Shahidi Wore Bottega Veneta To The 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Yara Shahidi continues our 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party coverage after a mini break yesterday.

The ‘Grown-Ish’ actress has had an impressive awards season following the NAACP Image Awards and the ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood Awards, but her look from the Vanity Fair Oscar Party is by far my favourite.

Bottega Veneta Creative Director Matthieu Blazy shows off couturier techniques, learned from his time at some of the biggest artisanal houses with this leather flower dress from the Spring 2023 collection.

I love how the three-dimensional embroidery in the form of hand-cut petals and hand-appliquéd flowers lend the piece dimension and movement.

But did Yara need the matching gloves considering the dress is statement enough?

I personally would’ve loved to have seen the look without them to showcase the silhouette of the dress more, but I think she works each piece to maximum effect, showcasing Yara’s prowess as one of the major players in this red carpet fashion game.
