Michaela Coel returned to London for the ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ European premiere which was held at Cineworld Leicester Square this evening (November 3).
You weren’t too crazy about her Burberry look for her guest appearance for ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ so you might be delighted to see that things weren’t so eclectic on this occasion.
As we all know Riccardo Tisci left his position at Burberry shortly after presenting his Spring 2023 collection, and tonight was the night where he announced that he is starting his own label, as Michaela is the first to wear a custom look by Riccardo Tisci on the red carpet.
Michaela has been in the fashion trenches, so she truly deserves this. What an amazing honour.
I’m so happy for her. And I bet her former designer (her mum) is very happy too.
Her Riccardo Tisci bodysuit and Chantilly lace tiered skirt might be considered relatively simple by Michaela’s standards, but it sees Tisci’s go back to his gothic roots.
I’m excited to see if this develops into an ad campaign role for Michaela.
