Ciara Wore David Koma To The 2022 CMT Artist Of The Year
Ciara went country for the 2022 CMT Artists Of The Year event held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Wednesday (October 12) in Nashville, Tennessee.
The R&B singer, who performed at the event with Walker Hayes, wore a lingerie inspired dress from the David Koma Resort 2023 collection.
I don’t have a problem with this cold-shoulder dress itself, but it’s not the right dress for Ciara.
My issue is that this dress was not made for someone with her complexion in mind, so I don’t understand why a. it was chosen, and b. why her stylist didn’t consider dying the layer behind the lace to match her skin tone.
The whole thing looks awkward and frankly quite amateur, which are two things I don’t expect from a Ciara look.
Looking at the dress on the model, you can see how much better the dress looks without that layer, and with the cups properly situated.
The 2022 CMT Artists Of The Year airs on Friday, October 14 at 9/8c on CMT.
