Jennifer Lopez Weds Ben Affleck In Three Ralph Lauren Collection Gowns
Following Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s surprise Las Vegas wedding last month, which saw Jennifer wearing two gowns from Zuhair Murad and Alexander McQueen, the couple were married for a second time at Ben’s lavish estate in Riceboro, Georgia in front of which family and friends on Saturday (August 20).
Jennifer gave fans a peek at her look on Instagram a few hours ago, but the final images were released today by celebrity photographer John Russo.
I don’t feel like there was a clear favourite when it came to her previous two gowns.
You either felt that the Zuhair gown was too JLo, or the McQueen was too plain.
Considering she was in Vegas, the Zuhair gown was perfect, and as they were married in a chapel, the demure nature of the McQueen gown was fitting, no?
When it comes to this custom Ralph Lauren Collection handkerchief wedding gown, Jennifer gave us the modern fairy-tale gown that many of us would’ve expected for the woman who is clearly a romantic at heart having starred in nine wedding movies during her career as an actress.
Between the elegance of the turtleneck and the dramatic ruffle hem I’m blown away by the romantic, heritage-inspired sensibility.
It’s impossible not to be charmed by everything in this photo.
But wait. There’s more.
Dress number two was a stunning chandelier pearl gown which is adorned with thousands of cascading strings of pearls.
30 artisans worked across 700 hours to hand embroider the gown with micro-pleats of silk tulle, tiny pearl embellishments, and Swarovski crystals.
This look was styled with Jimmy Choo’s pearl embellished Maisel sandals.
The third dress featured a sleek mermaid silhouette and keyhole neckline embellished with Swarovski crystals of varying shapes and shades of white.
Flowing to a full skirt, the look was topped with an organza overlay.
Which gown was your favourite? It’s kinda hard to look past the first one for me, but they are all beautiful and JLo worthy.
