2022 Tony Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the 2022 Tony Awards held at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday (June 12).

I must start with Bernadette Peters who was a vision in Zac Posen. I hope I’m equally blessed by looking this amazing at 74 years old.

If you’re having a mild case of déjà vu, it’s possibly because Jennifer Connelly’s custom Louis Vuitton gown worn to the ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Cannes Film Festival premiere is very similar in terms of style and fabrication.

We usually see a lot of gala-style gowns at this event, but Adrienne Warren served up something more modern wearing a Loewe ruffled sequinned dress from the Spring 2022 collection styled with jewelry by REZA.

Danielle Brooks’ playful style came out to play in this Viktor Luna abstract print number.

Nominated for Best Musical as producer for ‘A Strange Loop,’ Jennifer Hudson looked divine wearing a Pamella Roland Spring 2022 black crepe off-shoulder gown which was enriched with a silver metallic bodice.

Chopard jewels completed her look.

I’m not getting the usual vibrancy from Judith Light in this charcoal Thom Browne dress.

The mood of Julianne Hough and Jennifer Hudson’s Pamella Roland gowns are very similar, but Julianne’s hails from the designers Resort 2023 collection.

Kara Young instantly grabbed my attention wearing this copper Christian Siriano Spring 2022 metallic ruffled cape and bubble ball skirt.

This would’ve been perfect had the cape worn the right way around.

Kelli O’Hara looked very elegant in wearing a Bibhu Mohapatra Resort 2023 white gown accented with black velvet orchids.

The drapery is so sensual here.

I adore LaChanze’s homage to Dorothy Dandridge.

The retro styling stood out just as brightly as her chartreuse Karen Sabag gown.

Lea Michele was showcasing her post vacation glow wearing a Cong Tri Spring 2022 cut-out gown.

There were so few colourful looks on this red carpet, that I really appreciated Marcia Gay Harden’s pink moment in Oscar de la Renta.

Patina Miller, who is set star on Broadway’s ‘Into the Woods’ this summer, looked as stunning as ever wearing a vintage Bill Bass ivory silk crepe column gown which looks custom made for her.

The look was styled with Bill Bass jewels.

As always, she rules this red carpet. I hope we see more from Bill Blass in the future.

Phillipa Soo channelled her inner Megan Fox at the VMAs wearing this Bibhu Mohapatra dress.

This black dress would’ve looked better without all that paraphernalia on the neckline.

This magenta gown was surprisingly muted by Renée Elise Goldsberry’s standards, but she looks beautiful nonetheless.

Ruth Negga usually gives us something with an edge, but on this occasion she opted to give us a gorgeous gala gown moment in Armani Privé.

The look was styled with a Tiffany platinum and diamond necklace and Tiffany Victoria® ring.

Sutton Foster wore an emerald green Dolce & Gabbana gown styled with Tiffany & Co. jewels.

Wearing one of the more intriguing looks of the night, Uzo Aduba was one of the best dressed wearing this custom Cong Tri gown styled with Chopard jewels.
