Alicia Vikander Wore Louis Vuitton To The ‘Irma Vep’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere
Following the photocall, Alicia Vikander attended the ‘Irma Vep’ premiere during the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 22) in France.
When I saw her in this custom Louis Vuitton copper column dress, I felt two things.
1. This feels more like a Jennifer Connelly dress, which is ironic, because Jennifer Connelly got an Alicia Vikander dress for the ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ royal premiere.
2. A little vindicated.
I did say that I felt that the Deepika Padukone x Louis Vuitton union had perhaps come too quickly for her in terms of getting those next level custom pieces in time for Cannes – which we are seeing with Jennifer and now with Alicia.
Once Padukone and Vuitton’s relationship seasons, I hope she gets this level of custom looks.
Nicolas Ghesquière appears to always be sending his ladies out to battle, as this stunning creation makes Alicia look like a warrior, and this dress – especially the bodice – is her armour.
I love how the light reflects, and how this dress looks different in almost every picture.
What I wasn’t crazy about is the casual nature of the bun. This is how my bun looked after doing a 4 round workout in Crossfit earlier today, which included burpees.
Michael Fassbender was also wearing Louis Vuitton.
