Tessa Thompson Wore Carolina Herrera To The 2022 Met Gala

Tessa Thompson attended the 2022 Met Gala on Monday (May 2) in New York City.
When you think of Tessa, pink tulle, tiered gowns don’t spring to mind, but at the Met Gala, anything goes.
I have been waiting for a full on shot from the front, but it wasn’t the most flattering picture, but this side view showcases the beauty of the train.
Those of you who don’t like high-low gowns may be turned off by this look, but she did infuse an edge to this pretty pink confection with a pair of vegan satin Piferi over the knee hera boots.
You’ll either think the makeup was too dark/harsh or love the contrast.
Put me in the latter camp.
Wes Gordon, who escorted Tessa down the red carpet said, “The starting point of her dress was from the Fall Winter 2022 collection. In the show the look was a contrast between the tailored faille bodice and the tulle train, and for Tessa we wanted to create an even more extraordinary celebration of the Herrera atelier’s capability and craftsmanship. The entire bodice is made out of blush pink gathered tulle, with an external corset with tulle held by grosgrain ribbon, evoking the Gilded Glamour theme. The dress is finished with a cascade of 200 meters of gathered tulle making up the show stopping train.”
