Denée Benton Wore Sergio Hudson On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

Denée Benton made a guest appearance on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ on Wednesday (March 9), where she talked about spending much of her younger life working to overcome preconceived notions about what a Black girl can achieve in the performing arts, and her latest role, starring as Peggy Scott in, ‘The Gilded Age,’ which airs Mondays on HBO.

Aside from Chanel, the Sergio Hudson has been one of the most worn brands so far this year.

The a designer who has been around for a while, so I’m delighted to see his popularity with celebrities who are loving his bold, bright and uplifting colours.

If this Spring 2022 dress feels a little bit familiar, it might be because Lupita Nyong’o wore a similar style of dress recently,

Lupita’s was a skater style, and Denée’s is fluted. 

If you put the glorious colour to one side, what I love most about this look is that Denée kept the duster as it adds an air of grandeur and glamour to the ensemble.

The runway shoes are breath-taking, but Denée opted for a pair of Manolo Blahnik ‘Chaos’ sandals instead.
