Penelope Cruz Wore Chanel On The Ellen Show

Penelope Cruz made a guest appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday (January 6), where she was promoting her new film ‘355.’

It’s only now that I realise that this film was released on January 7, and there wasn’t so much as a photocall.

The last (only) (first) photocall was back in 2018 during Cannes Film Festival. 

No doubt the pandemic has played its part in stifling the promotion of this film, but I’m still very disappointed that we didn’t get the promo tour we were all expecting.

I had high hopes for this promo tour, with visions of premieres on the same day across the globe.

Fan Bingbing in China, Marion Cotillard in Paris, Penelope Cruz in Spain, Diane Kruger in London, Jessica Chastain in LA and Lupita Nyong’o in New York.

I had so many scenarios and red carpet looks in mind. As I have been thinking about this for the past 3 years and 7 months.

On ‘The Ellen Show’ Penelope also talked about her early career, including how her long-time friend Salma Hayek took her under her wing when she first arrived in Hollywood.

Penelope was of course wearing Chanel.

Her Spring 2022 black embroidered leather vest and trouser look was styled with beautiful Chanel accessories.

I like that the only thing predictable about this look was the name on the label, and I love how we have a new silhouette.

I do wish the vest was more fitted at the waist, but I’m going to say this is a win for Penelope.

I think she looks beautiful.
