2021 Latin Grammy Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the 2021 Latin Grammy Awards held at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Thursday (November 18) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

You could not miss Becky G in this colourful Carolina Herrera Spring 2022 dress.

We’ve seen the runway look on Kendall Jenner, but I love how vibrant Becky’s version is, and how the train added at touch more splendour to the mini dress.

While this was a Latin event, between the red, the silhouette and the orchid print this dress feels like it’s fused with Asian influences.

Jimmy Choo ‘Max’ platforms completed her look.

Christina Aguilera was almost unrecognisable with her red hair and dominatrix style dress featuring latex puffy sleeves.

It’s a lot to take in all at once.  She has always been one to push the fashion boundaries – remember the chaps.

So I wasn’t expecting her to arrive on this red carpet wearing an embellished dress, but then I didn’t expect her to give us Goth Barbie either in Vivienne Westwood.

Argentine singer Zoe Gotusso wasn’t afraid to go against the grain by wearing this Bernadette Louis silk-satin floral pyjama set.

She tried nullify the pyjama feeling with an oversized blazer, but all I see is PJs. 

Fancy PJs, but PJs nonetheless.

I don’t hate the look, but I do wish she steamed the fold out of the trousers.

Nathy Peluso picked up the Best Alternative Music Album at the ceremony.

She collected her award wearing a custom GCDS long velvet black dress.

I like the bejewelled accent, but I’m not so crazy about the styling.

Danna Paola also wore a Carolina Herrera Spring 2022 strapless bubble hem gown which didn’t just rely upon embellishments to make it standout.

You weren’t expecting this post to conclude without at least one tulle and rhinestone embellished gown?

Gloria Trevi wore a beaded yellow gown which I was surprised to learn was designed by Michael Cinco.

I’m usually a fan of his work (thanks to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan).

But this dress? Not so much.

Not at all in fact.

Roselyn Sánchez and Sofia Carson had the same idea by wearing blush princess gowns.

The actress-singer wore an Adolfo Sanchez tulle gown styled with Anabela Chan jewels.

I would’ve loved to have seen something more modern from her.

While the keyhole needed a bit more work (or some adjusting), I was still drooling over Clarissa Molina’s custom Victor Cardona emerald gown.

It’s the green velvet.  It gets me every time.

Bella Thorne wore a fiery Versace Fall 1996 red dress to match everything else she had going on.
