2018 Latin Grammys

2018 Latin Grammys

There were numerous head-turning looks to discuss at the 2018 Latin Grammys on Thursday (November 15) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Rosalia: Princess moments happen regularly on the red carpet, but this YolanCris Fall 2018 look takes things to the extreme with its dramatic shoulders and layers upon layers of tiered tulle. The H. Stern jewels and embellished shoes heighten the saccharine nature. It would have been more successful on a pre-teen.

Ana de la Reguera: The ‘Narcos’ actress experimented with proportions in a Saint Laurent Spring 2018 look which was previously worn by Rihanna. It takes something special to pull off the voluminous avant-garde proportions and unfortunately it feels more like a stage costume on her with the sheer tights and peep-toe heels. It also seems like the entire thing is sagging.

‘The Nutcracker and The Four Realms’ LA Premiere

'The Nutcracker and The Four Realms' LA Premiere

Much like the ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ DC premiere, there was a lot of co-ordination going on at ‘The Nutcracker And The Four Realms’ world premiere on Monday (October 30) in Hollywood.

Leona Lewis: I know a lot of you don’t the ‘Leona Lewis the risk-taker’, but I kinda feel that that British singer does this kinda look often. On this occasion the dainty feel of this Michael Cinco blush pink embroidered gown was perfect for the Disney feature. Atelier Swarovski By Penelope Cruz jewels and a white clutch completed her look.

Mackenzie Foy: The lead actress was exuding fairytale femininity in this Chanel Spring 2018 Haute Couture pale pink silk and tulle embroidered dress, that was even more enchanting without the bolero. With soft, vintage-inspired embellishments I fell totally in love with this look which she styled with Sophia Webster ‘Rosalind Crystal’ sandals and Chanel Fine jewelry.

Misty Copeland: Rounding out a trio of blush embroidered gowns, the ballet dancer wore an Ermanno Scervino dress that presented fresh elegance through delicate floral embroidery.

Bellamy Young In Michael Cinco – 2018 Farm Sanctuary On The Hudson Gala

Bellamy Young In Michael Cinco - 2018 Farm Sanctuary On The Hudson Gala

Bellamy Young attended the 2018 Farm Sanctuary on Thursday (October 4) in New York City.

The ‘Scandal’ star was giving off a regal air in her royal blue fully embroidered Michael Cinco cocktail dress.

I’m sure immediate comparisons will be made to Aishwarya Rai’s Couture gown worn to last years Cannes, but aside from the colour and length, Aishwarya’s look was another planet.

With a touch of spark provided by her pumps and APM Monaco jewels, Bellamy completed the look with a matchy clutch.

Am I alone in wishing to have seen this on Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge?

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

It’s been a busy week when it comes to mens fashion, so here is our roundup.

Jared Leto: The ‘Thirty Seconds to Mars’ star made a guest appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ where he donned a Gucci Cruise 2019 look consisting of a technicolor sweater and fiyah red trouser. Let’s hope that bin bag contains some of his less fortunate red carpet looks.

Channing Tatum: The actor was recently in London to present ‘Magic Mike Live’. While I’m not usually a fan of cropped trousers on men, this Arcady pair was looking very sharp, especially when paired with his palm-print shirt. Timberland shoes completed his look.

Winston Duke: The one thing I wanted ahead of the 2018 World Cup was to get my hands on the Nigerian football kit (and my heritage is Sierra Leone), but the entire collection sold out in around 3 minutes. The Trinidadian American wore his Nike tracksuit, in true naija fashion with a gold chain plus high-top sneakers.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan In Michael Cinco Couture – ‘Girls Of The Sun (Les Filles Du Soleil)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Earlier today I was saying how was tempering my feelings in case Aishwarya Rai Bachchan didn’t deliver at Cannes.

What. An. Idiot.

Of course she was always going to deliver, and in a more spectacular and modern way than she did last year.

She swept the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of ‘Girls Of The Sun (Les Filles Du Soleil)’ this evening (May 12) wearing a dramatic gown courtesy Dubai-based designer Michael Cinco.

Detailed with shades of blue, magenta and purple, the Cannes queen looked like a beautiful butterfly who had just shed its cocoon.

A stunning array of complementary De Grisogono jewels, plus glittery eye makeup puts her in the strong running of coming top of my BDOTY list…again.

I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us on Sunday.

Praya Lundberg In Michael Cinco Couture -‘Ash Is The Purest White (Jiang Hu Er Nv) Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Praya Lundberg joined a host of stars on the red carpet for the ‘Ash Is The Purest White (Jiang Hu Er Nv) Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening (May 10).

The Thai actress had a black magic moment in Michael Cinco Couture.

From a distance you might write this off as another printed ballgown, but up close you can see the quality of the craftsmanship from the embroidery to the hand-painted skirt.

That red lip really enhances the beauty here.
