Ciara Wore Mônot To ELLE’s Women In Hollywood Celebration
Ciara attended ELLE’s 27th Annual Women In Hollywood Celebration which was held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Tuesday (October 19) in Los Angeles, California.
I don’t dislike Mônot, but earlier this year there was a peak period of oversaturation that I found tiresome, especially when people were wearing the same dresses repeatedly (often a day part), like the designer only presented six dresses when they – at that time – had two collections of at least twenty-five looks for people to choose from.
Seeing Ciara in this dress from the Mônot Spring 2022 collection, three things stand out.
- It’s white. As most of the dresses we’ve seen from this collection have been black.
- It’s not tight fitted, and
- It doesn’t have any cut-outs.
But there was a slit. A hip-bone high slit, which feels very on brand.
Do I love this?
I don’t hate it.
Ciara looks stunning of course, but I strongly feel that without that chiffon detail imbuing a slightly softer side to this high octane look, I don’t think I would’ve bought into it.
