Issa Rae Wed Louis Diame In Vera Wang Couture

With so many weddings postponed in 2020, it is a joy to see couples finally being able to say their vows, and their “I do’s in 2021.

I know a couple who had to move their wedding four times before finally tying the knot, it rained all day, but they saw it as a blessing.

It came as quite a surprise for most people to see Issa Rae post her wedding photos to Instagram yesterday.

Now we know the reason behind that every present gorgeous smile. 

Success, talent, critical acclaim, and a man who loves her.

Her Instagram caption read, “A) Impromptu photo shoot in a custom @verawang dress.
B) My girls came to help me, but they all coincidentally had on the same dress! They were sooooo embarrassed.
C) Then I took a few flicks with Somebody’s Husband.”

So, we can add a great sense of humour to the list too.

She looked radiant wearing a custom Vera Wang Couture light ivory strapless gown with hand placed Chantilly lace accented by hand sewn crystal beading, styled with light ivory chapel length veil with hand placed Chantilly lace at the ceremony which took place in the South of France.

For the reception, her second Vera Wang Couture gown didn’t stray too far away from the first in terms of being a ballgown, but this look featured a more dramatic plunging neckline.

Louis Diame didn’t let the side down as he was looking very dapper in his burgundy velvet suit from Dolce & Gabbana.

What did I tell you?  Velvet is warming up to be another summer trend.
