Alexa Chung Wore Magda Butrym To The Mulberry X Alexa Chung Dinner Party
Mulberry celebrated their 50th anniversary with the official launch event of the Mulberry x Alexa Chung collection.
This is Mulberry’s second collaboration with their long-time friend of the house.
Back in 2010, the TV presenter inspired Mulberryâs most iconic bag to date, the Alexa.
This capsule features two styles â a roomy shoulder bag, the Big Guy, and a compact clutch, the Little Guy.
Both have a go-everywhere, wear-as-you-wish spirit. The effortless, sleek style of â70s style icons, like Charlotte Rampling and Lauren Hutton, inform the pared back aesthetic.
Both bags draw on the key components of Chungâs personal style: masculine formality offset with a vintage romance and a deep appreciation for British design.
At the intimate dinner party Alexaâs masculine style gave way to this Magda Butrym ruched dress from the Pre-Fall 2021 collection which I adore from the dramatic flower details â I especially love the one that creates a choker â to the micro length and sultry ruching.
I love it when Alexa serves up unapologetic femininity. This is one of my favourite looks from her.
But I know what youâre thinking.
The Mulberry x Alexa Chung Little Guy doesnât quite work with the Magda Butrym dress.
I think that idea was for the bag to standout.
This bag also comes in black velvet, but all the details would’ve been lost against this black dress.
