Maria Bakalova Wore Armani Prive To The amfAR Cannes Gala

Following the ‘Women Do Cry’ photocall, Maria Bakalova was back on the red carpet for the amfAR Cannes Gala which took place during the annual Film Festival on Friday (July 16) in Cap d’Antibes, France.

I’m so relieved to see her back to her best in Armani Prive.

I don’t believe that her 2020 awards season run spoiled us, as I feel that this level of elegance is her true style, and the Louis Vuitton outing was merely an experimental look which didn’t work out.

It happens to us all.

Velvet wouldn’t have been my first choice, mostly because I associate it with the Fall, and because in London we’ve had a heatwave for three days straight.

But there is no denying how glamorous this fitted dress is, especially with the bodice embroidered with pink crystals.
