Lady Gaga posted an image to her Instagram yesterday promoting the latest drop for her HAUS LABORATORIES cosmetic line which she captioned, “Kiss harder and SMARTER with PhD HYBRID LIP OIL STAIN. OUT NOW on @hauslabs and Amazon. 5 hydrating tints packed with calming hydration and nourishes your lips—genderless, vegan, and cruelty-free. 😘🤟🚨wearing shade ‘Tint’ 🙌❤️.”
The singer was dressed in a green and white houndstooth suit from the Moschino Fall 2021 collection.
The suit pays homage to an identical look designed by Franco Moschino, who presented this suit for this Moschino Couture 1991 collection.
On the back of the original we can see an embroidered cow print, which is likely to appear on Gaga’s jacket.
The rest of her look features an Ermanno Scervino ‘Faubourg’ bag and bug-eye style shades.
How do you feel about designers being inspired by past collections?
Do you admire the tribute, or do you feel it’s a bit lazy?
I personally have no problems with tributes, but I prefer it when the designer puts their own spin on it, rather than a copy and paste.
