Cardi B Wore Pierre-Louis Auvray Shopping On Rodeo Drive
The first thing I saw when I opened Instagram this morning was Cardi B walking down Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles looking like an alien.
I immediately rolled my eyes and kept scrolling.
But after looking at this again, the dress is starting to grow on me because I didn’t take all the elements in.
I brushed it off as a gimmicky thong print t-shirt dress when it is so much more to it including a cable-knit yoke.
Designer Pierre-Louis Auvray surrealist collections sets him apart from the crowd.
He is known for extrapolating the human body into unexpected and daringly exaggerated silhouettes, which we see here.
When I saw the dress on the model, I became even more fascinated with the design and Pierre-Louis Auvray’s artistry.
Yes, the dress is a bit much for shopping in Bottega Veneta, but the dress is so very much Cardi B that I find myself giving this a pass on account that it matches her style and personality.
