After the promotion of ‘Happiest Season’ on The Today Show last week, the Hulu film was premiered at The Grove in LA where we saw three fashion moments which all included the now mandatory masks.
Kristen Stewart: Back to wearing heels (I imagine not for long) the actress was of course wearing a Chanel. I can usually get behind a Kristen red carpet look, but on this occasion I was totally underwhelmed. The embellished top and mini skirt look so chic on the runway, but the whole look lost its appeal on Kristen. I feel like had I not seen the runway look I would’ve given her a pass.
Aubrey Plaza: Returning to the red carpet in her favoured short mini style, this Miu Miu cady dress was both delicate and delightful thanks to the sheer sleeves and ruffles. This might feel too twee for some, but I feel the overall elegance of the look won me over, along with the Miu Miu embellished sandals.
Mary Holland: This premiere might have been at a drive-in, but the actress wasn’t about to let her return to the red carpet go by without bringing her usual glamorous flare. Dressed in Valentino, this silk-organdy gown from the Pre-Fall 2020 collection is a vision of excellence courtesy of its evocative archival Delft print. The beautiful details didn’t stop there: the ruffle cuffs, full, pleated skirt and co-ordinating mask are so very pretty.
