Nieves Alvarez Wore Elie Saab Haute Couture To The Bvlgari Barocco Event

Nieves Álvarez Wore Elie Saab To The Bvlgari Barocco Event

Following her appearance at the 2020 Venice Film Festival, Spanish model Nieves Álvarez was back on the red carpet for the Bvlgari Barocco event hosted in Rome, Italy on Monday (September 14).

When it comes to modes of glamour, Nieves has the ability to cover all every facet.

On this occasion she was giving us modern glamour, with a tinge of old school.

The top half of this Elie Saab Spring 2020 Haute Couture gown is giving us old Hollywood glamour, while the bottom – with is updated mullet high-low asymmetric hemline – starves off any dated vibes that could be levied against this look.

The open neckline showcases Bvlgari’s finest diamonds which matched her serpenti bracelet, while complementing her open-toe heels.

I’ve said it time and time again.  No one does it better with this level of consistency.

Nieves is in a league of her own.

Do you agree?

I don’t know, looks a bit sloppily put together to me, and I can’t get over the bangle over the long sleeve. It’s fine, I guess, but I find myself a tad dissatisfied.

Also, and I know that is not intentional at all, but I find it personally hilarious that she’s at a bvlgari event wearing a big, ostentatious gown in Tiffany-blue. I don’t know, it just makes me smile.

I like this dress on the model but I don’t like it at all on Nieves.

    Love Thi look on her.

I like the color. The dress is terrible…so many elements thrown together. Major fail.

I don’t like it. I really don’t like the color, I don’t like that it is asymmetric, I’m not a big fan of the belt or the silhouette. And I think it does look dated

This is a rare miss for her IMO.
This look is dated and tacky.

The colour looks great on her. The 80s has been on trend so the dated feeling is kind of fashionable, either way she’s still selling it. For the event, the diamond accents with the shoes works well.

This still looks dated to me. Especially the ugly bling on the belt. Love the color though.

She is amazing!! I love it!

Colour is beautiful, but the dress is gaudy AF.

I think I don’t like the belt… it makes it cheap . killing the look

Modern glamour? Funny. Because to me it doesn’t feel like modern at all. I get that they’re bringing back the 80’s and trying to modernize it but this dress is not the case

    Oh. My. Gosh!

    BDOTY contender for me.

    Loving the colours combination. Bravo!😍👏🏼

      Count me in!
Adore the color, the drama, the command – she is spectacular!
Adding it to my BDOTY worthy list.

She is def in a league of her own. Adore this woman and her fashion statements!
The dress is dated looking….but she makes it work.
The focus is still on the necklace so thats good. Thats where it belongs!

    It’s Barocko, not Barocco.
Normally I would say this looks tacky. But she can sell ice to a polar bear!

Nieves is definitely in a class by herself. This dress, however, is horrible other than the color. A mishmash of too many ideas. I literally do not know where to look so I think I’ll look at the gorgeous necklace but maybe that was the point.
