Tilda Swinton Wore Chanel Haute Couture To ‘The Human Voice’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

Tilda Swinton continues to be the most prominent person at the 2020 Venice Film Festival; the first social distance festival since the outbreak of the pandemic.

On Thursday (September 4), following the photocall earlier in the day, the actress toned things down, colour-wise, by wearing a beautiful white silk crepe and guipure lace with floral motif long-flared coat from the Chanel Spring 2020 Haute Couture collection.

Much like her favoured suiting, this style of long coat is a look which Tilda returns to with much success.  It feels like the middle ground to her androgynous and feminine style.

I definitely need to talk about her Manolo Blahnik Trianon silk brocade boooties.  As they need a moment in the spotlight.

I can’t help thinking how much more amazing her coat would’ve been in that same fabric.

Tilda would’ve definitely pulled it off.

The look was styled with another one of James T. Merry’s custom gold masks, which will also been auction to benefit two global charities – UN Women & Facing History and Ourselves.
