We have – for the first time in months – a film premiere, which took place in Australian today (July 20) for the film ‘Babyteeth,’ in what we can regard as the new era for the red carpet.
What does a premiere look during a pandemic?
Social distancing is firmly in place, with hand sanitizers on tap at suburban cinema the Randwick Ritz.
Paparazzi were limited to just three rather than the thirty or so that are usually present.
Air-kissing, hand shaking and the usual social rituals of an opening night premiere were forbidden.
There were approximately 8 attendees – including actress-of-the-moment Eliza Scanlen.
Sporting a new blonde bowl-cut, the actress wore a total Miu Miu Automne 2020 collection look.
Why is she wearing a Fall look?
Because its currently winter in Sydney, so this look was season appropriate, yet it wasn’t without sparkle, as the shimmering crystal trim emphasizes the sleek lines of this minimalist jacket and skirt.
Had it not been for the colourful crochet pullover, Mary Jane pumps and pretty pink bag, this might have felt a bit too formal, but I don’t think we can expect too much in the current climate.
We first saw Eliza promote this film during Venice Film Festival back in September 2019.
