I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden wed Daniel Westling on June 19, 2010, wearing a Pär Engsheden ivory duchesse silk gown while borrowing her mother Queen Silvia’s wedding tiara, the Cameo tiara, which has become something of a tradition for royal brides in Sweden.
It’s cliché, but time really does fly.
Traditionally, 10 years means ‘tin’, but I don’t think Daniel will be gifting his wife with any pots or pans today.
To celebrate the milestone, the royal court released several new photos of Victoria and Daniel, together and separately which was shot by photographer Elisabeth Toll.
The heir to the throne and her husband posed at the beautiful Gustav III’s pavilion, which is close to their home of Haga Palace in Sweden.
In her three photos we got something old, something new and something blue.
Skin-tone gowns can be tricky if the right shade isn’t chosen, but as this Frida Jonsvens Couture gown was custom-made, so of course matches perfectly to her complexion.
Some may feel that there isn’t much originality in the design, but this fairy-tale creation is the perfect fit for the princess.
Onto something blue.
Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden is no stranger to wearing H&M, yet you may be surprised to learn that this tulle gown is from the H&M Conscious Exclusive Collection.
The Princess’ version was custom-made with less ruffles on the bodice perhaps with her Royal Order Sash taken into consideration.
I adore the diamonds which are sprinkled onto the skirt, but they are no match for her Baden Fringe tiara and diamond Epaulette earrings which she wore to her pre-wedding dinner.
Saving the best to last, this gown needs no introduction.
I love that Princess Victoria brought back her skin-toned Elie Saab Spring 2010 Haute Couture gown she wore her pre-wedding dinner.
It was as beautiful now, as it was back then.
Wearing her Royal Order sash again, this look was styled with her Connaught tiara and Vasa earrings.
In a rare move the Princess, who normally styles her hair up, let her long brunette tresses down for the shoot.
Would it also be cliche of me to say that these images look like she stepped out of a Disney movie?
