Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden In Vintage Nina Ricci – 2018 Nobel Prize Banquet

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden In Vintage Nina Ricci - 2018 Nobel Prize Banquet

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attended the Nobel Prize Banquet at City Hall on Monday (December 10) in Stockholm, Sweden.

The royal wore a beautiful vintage 1995 Nina Ricci ball gown, which paid a very special tribute to her mother Queen Silvia, who wore the same dress to the ceremony back in 1995.

If ever a gown deserved a re-run, it was this one. Just look at the detailing on the back.

Princess Victoria teamed her look with a voluminous updo, similar again to her mother’s original look, and the E. Wolff & Co. ‘Forget-Me-Not’ Connaught Tiara.

The only real difference is that Princess Victoria didn’t wear a necklace.

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden In Rodebjer, Acne & Stylein – The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge Visit To Sweden

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden again accompanied the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on Day 2, Tuesday (January 31) of their visit to Sweden, continuing to pay homage to her country by wearing Swedish labels.

Karolinska Institute Visit: Offering an intriguing colour combination, she wore a salmon-pink Acne coat over her light-teal Rodebjer trouser suit. A Stella McCartney chain-embellished clutch completed the conservative look with something of an edgier finish—and the only non-Swedish element.

Inside: The trouser suit from Rodebjer was fully glimpsed once she was inside. The colour was beautiful on her, with the frill of the blouse providing a feminine counterpoint to the tailoring.

Fotografiska Gallery: The Stella clutch was one thing. But, Crown Princess Victoria’s edgier side fully came out to play in this Swedish designer look, featuring Stylein Fall 2018 separates paired with Rebecca Björnsdotter ankle boots. I like how she merged two runway looks to make this ensemble her own—in quite sassy fashion.

Crown Princess Victoria Welcomes The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge To Sweden

Crown Princess Victoria welcomed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Sweden on Tuesday (January 30), thus attending a trio of events with them.

Lunch at the Royal Palace: While Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge wore florals for the royal dinner, Crown Princess Victoria opted for a delicate, floral-forward Ida Sjöstedt frock at lunch, topping the girlish look with the whimsy of a tulle bow scarf. For this reason, the dark pumps felt a bit heavy.

Walk From Royal Palace to the Nobel Museum: I like the jade-green hue of this coat by Swedish designer Ida Sjöstedt, which had such a refined, luxe appeal with the fur collar and her aubergine accessories.

Dinner: Celebrating another Swedish label, she donned a Stylein Fall 2018 frock that balanced modern asymmetry with classic form. Statement earrings and Dolce & Gabbana embellished shoes enlivened the dress.

Nobel Prize ceremony & 2017 Nobel Laureates Dinner

The Nobel Prize ceremony was held in Stockholm, Sweden on Sunday (December 10) followed by the 2017 Nobel Laureates Dinner on Monday (December 11) at the Stockholm Royal Palace.

First up, the Nobel Prize Ceremony’s head-turning looks.

Alice Bah: As the Swedish Minister of Culture & Democracy, Alice made a statement—quite literally—with her Bea Szenfeld & Naim Josefi gown. The designers created the look for more than just sartorial impact, as it was designed to highlight the melting arctic. The sculptural shoulders could certainly be described as glacial, with the liquid-white effect of the dress completing the picture that had serious undertones to its whimsy.

Princess Sofia of Sweden: The new mother was positively glowing in this Ida Lanto lace confection that was beautifully rendered in a soft, mauve-gray hue. She opted to re-wear her wedding-day tiara here—and when it’s that striking, I say why not.

King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway’s 80th Birthdays

The celebration for the 80th birthdays of King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway was held on Tuesday (May 9) at the Royal Palace in Oslo, Norway, with many royals in attendance.

Princess Tatiana of Greece: No need for royal blue when the shade of green is this regal. The asymmetric one-shoulder silhouette and the bell sleeves of her Celia Kritharioti gown only heightened the sleek, majestic quality.

Princess Sofia of Sweden: A study in embellished elegance, Princess Sofia was striking in an embossed black Oscar de la Renta gown.

Prince Carl Philip Of Sweden And Princess Sofia of Sweden's Wedding Guests

Princess Sofia of Sweden and Prince Carl Philip of Sweden welcomed guests to their wedding at The Royal Palace in Stockholm, Sweden on Saturday (June 13).

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden: Escorted by husband Prince Daniel of Sweden, Princess Victoria swept onto the scene in an H&M gown from the Conscious Collection that was most magnificent for its watery, painterly hues that were well-coordinated to her regalia. A decorative Connaught tiara, worn by her for the very first time, added sparkling royal flair to the look. If the dress looks familiar, it’s because Olivia Wilde wore the skirt version at the 2015 Elle Style Awards.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway: Pretty in pink, she brought a wave of feminine, summery spirit in a Temperley London gown most notable for the vibrant orchid print that decorated the ball skirt.
