Kate Beckinsale In Julien Macdonald – 2020 Critics Choice Awards

Kate Beckinsale In Julien Macdonald - 2020 Critics Choice Awards

Kate Beckinsale was one of the guest presenters for the 2020 Critics’ Choice Awards, which took place at the Barker Hangar on Sunday (January 12) in Santa Monica, California.

The British actress was very true to form when it came to her gown for the evening.

Some might feel like they have seen Kate in a dress similar to this light pink, draped asymmetrical gown featuring a dramatically structured shoulder accentuated by a grandeur cape from the Julien Macdonald (Julien x Gabriela) Spring 2020 collection before.

I think things work for Kate when she stays on the old Hollywood glamour track, especially when we all know what can happen when she goes off piste.

Thankfully the hair was on befitting of this gown on this occasion, a ’60s bouffant or her signature ponytail would’ve ruined this for me.

Jimmy Choo ‘Max’ platform sandals, and jewels from KallatiDjula and Yvan Tufenkjian completed her look.

I like only the beauty look. Something bothers me about dress fabric. The design is beautiful and stunning on runaway. On her, I feel it as a duplicate version she purchased through the internet.

She looks classy, but I’m not a fan of the large shoulder ruffle. It’s a bit much, given the draping down the side. She really didn’t need the earrings, given how dramatic the gown was already.

    Stale, dated and derivative.

This is very nice but it epitomizes why Kate is outclassed by her peers. This is tacky compared to what most everyone else is doing. She’s stuck in her own timeless rut, quite similar actually to Renee Zellweger.

Sheesh, again looking great? She’s only slightly behind Anne Hathaway for best dressed at this awards show in my opinion, but gets top marks for consistency as well.

I meeeeean I don’t like that it’s sort of sheer but her hair and make up look so sleek!

I think is beyond fabulous. I dont really see the dated vibe others are getting. The design is gorgeous. I love the shoulder detail and train.
The hair is perfect with this.
I would say so far this is my fave.

Kate, Alexis Carrington called and she wants her dress back.

Dated, cheap looking Zuhair knock off.

Well-done h2t. The delicate gown works beautifully on her with the asymmetrical shoulder draping adding just enough drama. Nice to see change of hair as well.

She looks good but the dress fabric look cheap.

Nothing groundbreaking but she looks nice, thankful for this hairstyle. The design feels pinched from Zuhair Murad.
