Lupita Nyong’o Wore Celine To The 2020 National Board Of Review Gala

Lupita Nyong’o, queen of colour (from the night before), became the queen of glamour for the 2020 National Board of Review Gala held at Cipriani 42nd Street on Tuesday (January 8) in New York City.

Bringing her gala A-game, the Oscar-winning actress was coated in dazzling sequins for a liquid effect wearing a column gown from Celine which balances halter neckline with cut-out detail.

While this style isn’t unique.  It feels refreshing from Celine.

As we all know, their red carpet gowns have a tendency to be a bit samey as they’re usually strapless, or slightly underwhelming.

So I love how Lupita breathes new life into their red carpet edit.

Dazzling Cartier jewels and a signature bold lip completed her look.

I much prefer this over the Valentino.
