Front Row @ Gucci Fall 2019

Milan Fashion Week is in full swing with the Gucci Fall 2019 show held on Wednesday (February 20). Here’s a look at the front row.

Andrew Garfield: You have to appreciate the cartoonish irony of the three little pigs emblazoned on the arm of this Gucci Resort 2019 bomber jacket. It may have been the star of the ensemble, but the trousers, sneakers, and shades brought home the retro-forward effect.

Saoirse Ronan: There was a lot going on with this Gucci Pre-Fall 2019 menswear-inspired look between mix of colours and proportions. But Saoirse wore it with a command of form that conveyed its own sense of sophistication, right down to the emerald-green handbag.

Jared Leto: This Gucci Spring 2019 floral tunic was obviously right in line with his signature style, especially when paired with the slouchy joggers and untied sneakers. It’s a lot loud and a little bit untidy — and so very Leto.

Salma Hayek Pinault: If you thought it couldn’t get any more flamboyant than Jared, Salma’s Gucci Pre-Fall 2019 look easily won out on extravagance. But with those red fur muff sleeves, brassy platforms, and oversized square sunnies, it kind of went to garish territory.

Gia Coppola: With this Gucci Resort 2019 sartorial suiting, all I could think was did she pack the wrong handbag and heels, as the mauve purse and multi-hued shoes were a bizarre finish to the polished sartorial statement.

Lucy Boynton: I do think Lucy’s silver shoes were a nice surprise of dazzle in this Gucci Spring 2019 denim moment that had sassy schoolgirl vibes.

I actually think Saoirse looks amazing. The colours work very well together and imo the look isn’t the slightest bit overworked. I think everything fits well together and she looks radiant.
    Andrew looks good too.
Everyone else ranges from ‘fine’ to ‘meh’. Nothing terrible, and I think I should be used to this kind of thing from Salma by now. At least she’s having fun.

    They all look ridiculous.

What a bunch of mess… very disappointed by Andrew and Saoirse. They used to understand that less is more.

Saoirse is giving me serious 70s working girl vibes. I’ll take it
Andrew makes his outfit work. It is Gucci so it’s a lot

I’d might like Salma’s coat on Tracee Ellis-Ross. I everything but those culottes on Gia’s outfit but the top half and the accessories to go with different outfits. Saoirse and Lucy are my picks here, both look work well as is.

Saoirse, Lucy, and Andrew have the least terrible looks.

Love Andrew and Saoirse!! The dress and the red muff cuffs on Salma i really like just wish she’d done different accessories

These three represent fashion victimhood. I can’t with Salma’s outfit. I guess, Lucy, if I had to pick one.

      “Six” not three.
